- Well, since I suddenly see a blank profile today, I guess I'll update my deal.
Thanks to people like Jack here, Rich Schefron, Howie Schwartz, etc.,regular people like me, without a big wad of cash to feed to the Google monster, were cool for doing something different.
When I first started preaching the gospil of web 2.0 marketing over a year ago as my possible answer to the problem of...
I'm not a slick salesy chick.
With the web already infested with false gurus galore, I just decided to lay low and try different things, be my goofy, yet tech geek self, and see what happened.
What happened was that I finally knew that I was going to be ok.I can do it like this. No more long salesletters that focused on $$$$, no more having to rely on email marketing, which was all but useless to me because rarely is there ever much worth hooting about, right?
I am a network marketer of video branding tools and I quickly got to a point of daily, effortless leads generation (that does not mean that you do nothing and your business runs itself! You DO have to contact them and do other things) and completely stopped using Craigslist and Backage to generate leads.
I just shared what worked for me. I made screen capture videos that were really detailed for people who weren't technical, and I just was honest about the fact that building a business online is not easy, doesn't happen overnight, and requires some core tools (website/blog, Aweber, Waterfall Leads) to be at the heart of your social media marketing campaign.
I also am big on spreading the word that social media "marketing" isn't like marketing at all. I never straight up pitched anyone in community settings or did the street peddler act.
That's why it worked and still does work for me.
And that is what I teach at "Social Media Marketing Academy." The whole nitty gritty thing. I try to avoid any chance of "social media suicide" for anyone.
I never imagined I would be chatting about JV plans with with Mr. All Things Web 2.0. It just shows that ANYONE can go from where they are to where they want to be.
