- Me-- a just married mom living in Ann Arbor and will be sending my kids to college soon. I like to bike ride, rock climb mostly at Planet Rock, the best indoor climbing facility ever. I kayaking and all the outdoorsy stuff, except camping. I'll camp if I need to but not for fun, because it isn't fun.
I can also make a decent video and I'm a pretty good photographer. Sometimes fooling around with Photoshop is fun. Thanksgiving weekend my daughter and I made a music video for a contest. If it wins I'll be telling about it.
I have a couple engineering degrees from The University of Michigan, worked for a very large car company for many years in design and release of chassis parts (the parts you can't see but make the car useful; stopping, turning and riding decently).
I like helping people if I can. Hope to meet some new friends here and gain some insight into the online social marketing scene.
Currently I'm working on the DirectoryOfAnnArborMI.com and a blog to go with it, DirA2.com plus some other local and worldly things.

You're right. The online option for education is amazingly convenient. It's also starting to get a lot more engaging and hopefully fun. We're working on game-based systems right now to help students pass the GED exam (every year 700,000 people take the GED, and 200,000 them fail at least one of the five segments). It includes gaming, multimedia and social aspects, so it's a nice challenge.

The States needs to know how to deal with unplanned pregnancy (UP) too. The country has the highest rate of UP in the entire developed world. To be frank - the whole planet needs this info... I think I figured it out - giving it away and getting businesses involved to help me do this... Believe me it´s extremely ealy to avoid UP the natural way...
