Like I said above, "If your site has a huge FB following" and that was the most important thing I said. IF being the most important word. Why is this place empty? Because it does not convert into buyers. Why have the big names come and gone? Warr...

Facebook Groups? Better yet, try Facebook Connect, what none of you have gotten is that Facebook Connect makes your BLOG your Group. Still does not hold a candle it Google and their social networking apps, but that is not what this post is about....

Hey John ... I read about your web 2,0 experiment ... I wanted you to give me a briefing so I can add the skills of a fully certified Merchantologist to your experiment ...

Hi John!

I chuckled when I read your comment about 'fingers too big'. Mine Too!! I fumble and backspace regularly. I used to play guitar (just no time now) and I had to play a specially made one with a very wide neck to accomodate the wide tips of my fingers. I hear that those with large bones (which give them wide finger tips) are very "handy" though, and can just jump into things and create. Is that you?

Hi John,

I'm a gardener too, thru and thru. When I'm not actively doing it, I'm thinking about it.

Your blog is great. It's now on my favorites list.

Looking forward to seeing you around the community.

OK John,

Good luck

I run the "British Comedy TV group" on Squidoo. and get loads of requests for new lenses every week. I wouldn't call mysel;f an expert on squidoo marketing but I know my way aound

Other jobs: I design e-commerce apps using zen-cart, so if u need a site for digital delivery lof ebooks and the like, look me up or just need a bit of advice on how to get a zen cart installation up and running.

I also run a blog on gardening, it ties in with an offline business run by my mean brother who refuses to pay me for the work I do on website design so hey I stuck Google Adsense on it and I make money. he hates it but hasn't got a choice lol

Getting Traffic

So far, 2 affiliate sales after 27 clickthroughs.

Got to sort out my publishing schedule as so far, it's been one long round of blog posting. Bought a $200 external hard drive for backups.

Also found a fantastic piece of software called Raven. Iy is better than Windows Live Writer which stopped working. Raven offers the chance to post to as many blogs as you like. Great for posting on satelite blogs. It also saves offline so I can spend a day just posting and then publish when i like. Also let… Continue

Time spent on site.

Looking at my Google analytics i find that my visitors are spending an average of almost 7 minutes on my site with an average page view of just over 3. I'm not sure what sort of figures for website stickiness are regarded as good.

50% of unique visitors are returners. Bounce rate is down to 13%

Funny how everyone and his dog are trying to copy the success of 16 Steps to Success.

An email dropped into my inbox (as if by magic) It said We'll show you how to put up a blog. here's the pre-… Continue

Google Search results

Just checked one of my long tail keyword phrases.

Out of the 17 results cri-fi.com has 16 of them. The only exception is number 11.

The site is now ranked Number 1 in Google beating almost 1.9 million results.for the phrase get crime novel published Brilliant news considering i didn't deliberately target the phrase.

16 steps to success. is a success. Yeah ...

Just trying some new software that searches for "Do follow" blogs in my niche. Will report on it as soon as I've tested… Continue

Great day.

3 of my sites are at the top of Google.com for the keyword writing crime plots, beating 1.62 million sites. This is mainly due to the techniques I have learned in 16 steps to success. Wow.

Downloaded camStudio last night and i am going to make a short video on how to plot a crime novel.

Should be interesting.

Monetization.

currently I am writing 3 posts per day on cri-fi.com and today is the first step to,monetization.

I have found previously that big banner adverts don't work as well as they used to, partly because of banner blindness and partly because they get a little staid and have to be rotataed regularly to maintain interest.

In 1 post, I have placed a link to a viral e-book that helps crime fiction writers master the basics of putting together a decent plot and then ha… Continue
