- I'm a wife, mother and grandmother in Hampton Roads, Virginia, as well as a business owner and writer. I just completed my MFA in creative writing at ODU in Norfolk, and I'm working on a memoir about the ups and downs of family life and child rearing.
I've spent my 30-plus-year career as a journalist and PR practitioner, and now I own a boutique PR and marketing firm, The Buzz Factory. I specialize in helping small businesses and non-profits get the visibility they deserve.
I'm fascinated with social networking and internet marketing and I'm learning about it as fast as I can, both to help my business and those of my clients. It's the wild, wild west -- lots of opportunity, but also lots of ways to spend money and waste time if you're not judicious with both.
