Is social marketing more for making friends and gaining exposure than for targeted traffic to our webpages?

Hey that is awesome, it is really cool when somebody creates something from their heart just for you.

I gotta go to the bank and then to Starbucks where I am going to go over a print version of my ebook. You can win a copy of the thing here on SMC with the best question about social marketing.

Like I said, don't flood google with posts, regular schedule, themed posts, themed keywords.

Hi Eren!
Computer's been down almost the whole time since we finished 16 Steps, so I'm "re-grouping." Will get my picture in here in due course.

If you are going to blog, don't write it all and then put it up all at once.

Google wants a natural progression and regular posting cycle.

I do tuesday and thursday.

The cool thing about building a static portion of the site with Wordpress calls is that your site will use the same template through out and that is the only way to go.

I even wrote by own blogging software and then I realized that I was reinventing the wheel.

If there is a mistake to be made I made it. = Chris Lang

OK, it does not matter what program made the page.

It's file name is index.php and it is not dynamic, it is static. There is no query string.

Other pages do not run off of it using a query string.

It is not a dynamic page generator like a Wordpress index page of a blog.

It is static, it does not matter who wrote the code. It is not a blog it is a webpage. You are still comparing apples to oranges.

This is NOT a blog page and it does not matter what program created it.

Static pages rank for one reason and blogs rank for another.

If the page is static it is a webpage. If it is a dyamic generator for all the other pages it is a blog.

Google recognizes it as a web page.

The reason I am stuck with a dyanmic wordpress page as my index page is because 50 blog directories find my blog there. I cannot change it. I made a big mistake.

Even Chris Lang, Social Marketing Genius makes huge frakin (BSG reference there) mistakes and I will pay for it too.

Also when you set up your WP blog make sure you pay attention to the permalink structure. Don't use querystrings use underscored words.

Yeah, I fraked that up too.....

WOW 2 bills? Keep your money in your pocket, buy a good PHP book and set up Wordpress. If you are creative build your own sites, I will give you dreamweaver MX if you don't write HTML and Photoshop if you need a real graphics program.

Spend the rest of the money on a good book about writing ad copy and sales letters and you will make money.
