- About Me:
- I attended the University of Essex during the years 1999 until 2002 where I read law. At the University of Essex, I served on the executive committee of the law society for three years and was also fortunate enough to have been elected to the positions of law convenor ('00/'01), chairman of the Students' Union Council ('01/'02) as well as being a student tutor in my final year.
In the academic year 2002/2003, I read for the Bar at the Inns of Court School of Law, City University, London and was called to the Bar by Lincoln's Inn in July 2003.
Outside of my professional life I am active in St Antony's Catholic Church; a foundation school governor at St Bonaventure's Catholic Comprehensive School (voluntary aided); am a Trustee of the Dominica Oversea Nationals Association's Aid Dominica Development Trust, a registered U.K. charity organisation in London; regularly write articles, book reviews and quizzes for the Weekly Law Reports Newsletter; occasionally undertakes work as an employment caseworker for the Free Representation Unit (FRU) and am a member and attends lectures and seminars organised by the Human Rights Lawyers Association and the Employment Law Bar Association.
When spare time remains I enjoy attending the cinema and theatre; going to the gym; cooking West Indian food; quadrille and salsa dancing; listening to music; solving crosswords and going swimming - though not all at once!
