Depending on the blog I tend to post up to a couple three times a week, although it has been known to be sporadic. Some of my blogs get traffic, some not so much so I post a little less on them and let the engines catch up.
One of my problems is I have 20 or so registered blog domains and only so many hours in a day. A few are for links, like my article directory, I'm thinking about weaning down to 4 or so. (I'm already killing 7)
I don't really have any adsense blogs though. I do have adsense on a few, too much on some (any could be too much).
I don't really have a fixed schedule like I should, I post more when I have something to say.
ASC has taught me a lot more about posting regularly as well.
Diane,
I'd love to follow the development on your blog re: monetization (with Jack)... as you've been putting some great effort into your programs and it seems that many a folk would have (and do) given up many moons ago. It would be cool if your movement into better cash-flow from you blog could be witnessed and otherwise reviewed in this forum pursuant to your progressions thereof.
Oh, and welcome back!!!... It appears that you and I took a leave of absence over the same period of time and found ourselves back amongst beautiful friends at the SMC home... Keep the fires burning Diane!
Typically, I post whenever I need to post. I do have a couple blogs where I stay fairly regimented though. My internet marketing blog is once a week. I think that quality means much more than the 500 word cereal posts that every other blogger seems to be in love with.
Plus, the less you post, the more you can promote.....and we all know how important it is to promote....
I run a company, in part providing Business Blog services... and don't post enough. Once a week I post on SEO/SEM, CMS, and Conversion marketing techniques.
I blog once or twice a week. It depends if I have anything good to add. I think the more important thing to be doing is have strategy to drive people to your blog. I use blog links to help answer questions my clients through at me.
How do you use your blog a a strategic communication tool?
In my niche training content is a magnet so
I'll do some research on what people are actively
searching to learn (tactics etc...) and I'll create
a screen cast video about it...
I then create a matching outline post on my blog
and include the video...
Then I broadcast to my prospect and customer
lists via email that new training is available...
I also do a social media buzz campaign and invite
my Tweeps, and Facebook etc friends to go check
out some new training vids on my blog...
You can rank high and hit some juicy keywords
that get your fresh traffic too... and of course you
solidify your relationshipping with your prospects...
AND provide cool training on autopilot to your customers,
clients and affiliates... ALL at the same time.
