Social Marketing Central

Social Marketing Central!

Hi ppl,

We know that in order to have a successful social media campaign, we have to set KPIs and most of the time, the measurements are based on the objectives of the business. However, what I want to find out is, how do you determine the KPIs if the client have never run an internet marketing campaign before, let alone SM campaigns. On what basis would you determine the KPIs?

Would you fine tune the metrics along the way?

Thanks!

Rod,

Great question... the checklist I use was discovered on Jesper Astrom's blog
(btw... I don't have any affiliation with this gentleman)...

here: http://jesperastrom.com/social-conversion/social-media-and-kpis

He covers these essential high-lights and elements re: the question you pose.

> Description of a Key Performance Indicator (KPI)
> Social media and KPIs
> The pragmatic take on Social Media KPIs
> The evangelist take on Social Media KPIs
> Joining the pragmatic with the evangelic view
> Time is the most valuable component
> Marketing/Sales Social Media KPIs
> Corporate/Brand communication Social Media KPIs
> Boiling it (KPI) down

best always,
-michael
