I just did a post on a new GFC directory. Google Friend Connect is picking up some steam, and now there are even directories of blogs that are GFC enabled.
Why?
Because the more groups you join, the more people see your pretty face, click on it, and see your links, for one.
It's also a new way to discover new sites/bloggers.
So here's a two step process:
1. Go to the Friday Traffic Report and join the GFC community. (Right sidebar midway down.)
2. Get your own GFC set up and list it here at Social Marketing Central by replying to this post with your URL where we can find and join your group.
As usual, everyone should make sure to temper their link building(or in this case - little icon building) efforts with social interaction. By simply "spam-joining" each others sites without further interaction, we would be missing out on the true reward of social media. Valuable connections.
My blog is firmly focused on social media and the social marketing industry, it is GFC enabled with a testing group setup for Friend Connect gadgets: the Social Arrow
I agree with this statement. Spamming can be harmful to your PR. If the site and group are not in your niche it's not necessarily beneficial. Be sure to interact.
I joined SocialBrowse. Looks like a great service.
