Can someone explain Twitter to me. I opened an acct. and not sure what I'm suppose to do with it?

Oh i love Twitter. It can be addictive because it's so quick and easy. Basically, you just find people to follow and you begin getting their Twitter updates. Like here, when you "follow" people on Twitter, they often follow you.

Twitter can be used just for quick 140 character messages between friends. (You just answer the question at the top that says "what are you doing?")

From a marketing perspective, i follow the internet marketers that i learn from so that i can see their updates. I also post on Twitter whenever i have a new product or do a new blog post -- or anything of use that has a URL associated with it that i want to "get out there." As you get more and more followers on Twitter, then your websites are seen by more and more people (those that choose to click on your URL, that is).

For example, i belong to an awesome membership site (ClubZoomica). So if i spend a few hours in the training section i might post what's called a "Tweet" saying "Just finished some great Zoomica training" Then put the URL to my Zoomica affiliate link.

Make sense? I thought it was pointless at first, but am starting to get some exposure from it, have learned from it, and have found some new online "friends."

Thanks for asking this question. I just started there and have the little blue bird on my site.
Hey it actually IS a site about birds too. and binoculars etc.
But I was not sure about how to handle this site or the twitter one.
Just now getting the hang of it.
