Just What The Heck Is Jack Humphrey Up To And Should I Be Worried?

OK Jack, just what are you up to? Tell me I want to know???

I may be wickedly evil, but you are the nice guy that all the while is working behind the scenes, kicking my ass before I even know it is getting kicked.

Namez invite...

Hi5 invite....

MySpace? WTF?

What are you doing Jack, I want to know.....

And this comes right after I tell you that "with what I know about social networks, if Google goes social I will kick your ass".....

Suddenly a flury of activity. Michael Fortin guest article....

Even I, deep inside my devious little mind cannot see what you are doing.

Did I stir up a hornets nest by running my big mouth once to often? It would not be the first time.

BTW, I finally outranked you for the term "social marketing" today, LOL. Like that means something, but I can give you a hard time and that is good enough for me.

You know I have the greatest info ever and I cannot sell it or we will all be screwed.

Still, the question is this, "What is Google doing and who can pull out the defacto info-product when then time comes? You, me or Howie?"

I can't hold a candle to your connections but my social bookmarking mastermind group is the 800 lb Gorrilla.

Just how is this going to play out??? Thnking, thinking, thinking..........

The Google Knol set is an immense gift - if one knows what to do with it. I have a fairly good idea, but you are one of the few who will know how to FULLY leverage it. I'll watch Howie and Jack, but more especially you.

My TV channel goes live in Mid September. By then the Google event will be even more visible. Sounds like a perfect subject for an Lang interview to me. (You deserve it for your generosity if nothing else.) But for now ... a canal boat in the south of France beckons. It's a tough life, but somone has to do it.

My best as always
Jonathan

PS: How do I join the social bookmarking mastermind group?
PPS. Hah! Congratulations on your Google 'Social Marketing' position.
PPPS. I will be on radio silence for three weeks about two hours from now.

Basically, my mastermind group is a group of very serious Diggers that all share what we learn and it is pretty private. I do however look forward to your new broadcast this fall so keep us posted here.

"... very serious Diggers that all share what we learn and it is pretty private."

Sorry. Um ... how hard is it to become a "serious digger" Sir?

Digg top 1000 or better. Also we do not share what we learn outside the circle of four that we are right now. We can take any quality post front page 4 out of five times.

As long as it is not so IM related that it will just get buried.

Well David, at least there is a few of us still at our computers. However, even I had to take a day off yesterday and see about a girl.

Slow here? Slow everywhere. My sales are way down and the traffic is ok. If that is where things are at in the slowest month of the whole year, the coming season looks to be shaping up well.

I am just waiting to see what the fall slapdown is going to be like on Google. They just did ANOTHER PageRank update this last week. Most my SEO guys have told me that Google has been updating 10 algo variables a day in July. I have stuck across the board in my main terms so that is a pretty good sign.

Yes, this will be an interesting series of steps to watch in this internet marketing world we are working in. It changes in some ways everyday. And it is increasingly competitive. It helps when we each know our strengths and use them well.

Look at it this way....

In a period where I added 200 followers to MyBlogLog for keywebdata.com Jack added 500. Need I say more? Jack ain't frakin around. And he shot right back up under "social marketing" on Google and that term is not an easy nut to crack. I have had to work my butt off to get on page three.

Meanwhile it is dominated by universities with PR 7 and 8 blogs. PR, not be be confused with anything having to do with your Google rankings.

Chris from my perspective there is a huge difference between you and Jack

Jack and Traffic Friday Report are interchangeable there a brand

are Chris Lang and Keywebdata interchangeable not sure

to be honest chris and dont shoot me I sometimes find your blog boring, look at someone like tiffany dow she has loads how to stuff

yes google not buying digg is intresting but will it help people with social/internet marketing

on the other hand Jack s blog I cant stop reading its sticky

its not just the links , as Corey Rudl said back in 2000 and something I still think is true is you turn strangers into friends and friends into cutomers

and while I consider you a friend sorry dude but I wouldnt buy anything from you as off today as theres not enough hands on its just more like the thoughts and musings of Chris

I'm just getting more aggressive with the networks - signing up for more and friending on all of them. My Publicist Anissa is handling a lot of it. It's a lot of work but I want to see what happens when I push it up a couple levels.

Having someone who understands what we are doing and what the goals are with social marketing, who helps with all this is crucial. Anissa is a huge help. I recommend having someone helping with social marketing profiles, emails, friends, and overall publicity.

That's where all the new friend requests and accounts have come from of late. Just being everywhere my target market surfs! :)
