in this one niche i made a wordpress.com blog. all I do is put articles from article sites related to this niche. within less than a week it gets 20 hits a day. it takes about 30 min a week for 600 hits a month.
I use it as part of my own linking network that's all. so I have links to sites that make money or add links to other sites that link to sites that make money.
doing the same on some blogger blogs but I occaisionaly write an origional article too. blogger lets you use aweber wp.com does not.
right now I am not offering anything for sale on these sites , my focus is on getting people in a mailing list more than anything. then i can sell to them again and again.
Simple and direct. Glad it works for your niche. I am using only original writings at this time, but I see the merit for increased traffic here. Thanks for the tip.
I have a main wordpress blog on a domain for the same niche that only gets original articles. I use this to boost links to that site, both wordpress.com and blogger.com. I put related links in the blogroll and in a linklist in blogger.
This is all part of a long term plan to build my own link structure covering my sub niche sites and places that are part of the otherwise too huge overall health niche.
There are 3 niches in people lives, sub niched into thousands of thousands:
Health
Money
Relationships
That has been something of common knowledge but I will add one more. This is one of the most important things there is. It is always most of the searches in the top 500 online searches.
Entertainment
People are obsessed with entertainment, look how much they are willing to pay people who are entertaining. I never had a real idea for that niche, except when I write I try to be more entertaining and kidd around. I try to be myself and engage people and maybe challenge them to think.
In wordpress.com you can add delicious links in the sidbar which ads another online link set for those links. I am using a pen name here and do auto bookmarking with bookmarking demon with the same email and pen name. I bookmark all my sites and squidoo and blogs and other odd stuff. It just adds to the mix of links with no effort once added.
This is not stupid; this is great stuff. What I love is the simplicity of this. As a "techno-phobe"
I love reading something like this and saying, "Hey, I know how to do this!" Sweeeet! Thanks Warner. Now I know what I have to add to my Things to Do list.
Great post, Warner. What article sites are you using? Here's something else you might check out. Jonathan Legar has written a couple of really cool software applications for easy article writing...similar to Jack's Utility Poster for blogs. The best one is Instant Article Wizard Pro http://tinyurl.com/57y6gd
