Malathy (member here) made a good point that I have to respond to with this.
My post is no hold barred so I am only linking to it. I tired of pussyfooting around. If you are not succeeding at getting 100 to 200 Diggs on your posts you are doing it wrong.
This is about to be my last words on this here. If you are not willing to do it right then don't complain when you fail at it after doing everything that I told you not to do. I offered one of the most high end products there are at succeeding with social bookmarking at half price. I can do no more to help you.
Call me a jackass if you want, I will approve all comments on my blog, but I am pounding on your door but no one is answering.
Want to hear something interesting? This article is selling books as we speak, maybe the nice guy approach was not the way to go? The salesletter did not sell. The autoresponder series did not sell. Six months of building content here did not sell. This post sells. Interesting.
I think you should just stand by your offer. A tried a tested way to get 100 - 200 Diggs. That's what it is now, and that's what it'll be tomorrow. The best customers will "get it".
I had a long talk with a guy that I gave a little advice to last nite. It was one of my close friends birthday at midnite and it was kind of a drunken conversation. But this is how it went:
We had met before at happy hour like 8 months ago and I gave him some basic Internet marketing tips, then I reviewed his site and suggested some basic avenues to doing better like adding an email newsletter sign up form, a DHTML popup up and a secondary form and the placement of each, plus why this matters. At the time he was making $20,000 a month.
Last nite he told me those simple, beginner tips made him think more deeply as to how he made the most of the traffic he gets. What really blew me away was he actually employed the suggestions I gave him and now he is making $80,000 a month from his CEO headhunting service.
He told me that while I am a technical god and I know more than almost anyone about what I do, I shoot over the heads of my readers. I give them so much for free and am inflexable as to the possibility of my tactics and strategies not working that I drive off many leads that could turn into sales.
Now, Friday the 13th is my lucky day. JohnT and Sexy know why and it is a very serious thing. I love my Yahoo horoscope and it is right on and has hit me dead on many times, but today was pretty cool, because it echoed everything this guy said last nite. Here it is:
It's time to create more calm in your life -- and you can do this if you accept the responsibility required to accept things that you don't like. You might not believe what people who have different views than you have to say, but you cannot disrespect them simply because they disagree with you. If everyone agreed with everyone, life would be boring. You have to agree to disagree and rise above petty conflicts. Do not argue when you know there is no point in it.
I think you will get this more than anyone Christopher!
1:45 AZ time. We are now up to 86 Diggs and 5 comments for a blog post that has little to do with what I got it ranked under. It don't get better than that!
