Win a Free Copy of My Book, Yeah Really and you Don't Have To Do a Thing

Yep, FREE copy and nothing is required of you, no sign up, no purchase, no work at all. Just answer one question here and you are entered.

What don't you know, that no one has bothered to explain about social bookmarking, social marketing and how social bookmarking that can help your web site or blog?

My latest book is about to double in price and be updated to previous buyers but before I release it I know that there are somethings missing. I am a little more advanced than the average social site user so I tend to gloss over some of the basics and assume you understand some things that come easy to me.

Just reply to this post and briefly (or lengthly if you prefer) let me know what it is that you don't quite get, or has not been covered in the material you have read.

I know many of you have bought the SMARTS program and my eBook too. So what have we not covered for you?

The best question or questions wins a copy of my new $40 book.

What is the best way to avoid being buried at Digg.com?

Golly, if you want an absolute newbie, then that would be me. I virtually have NO IDEA about social bookmarking, so if I can understand your book, then ANYONE can...

So my question would be: what is social bookmarking?

(Like I have no idea what Daniel Pyle means with his question, how do you get "buried" at Digg.com?)

Well, if there is one thing I could ask and get answered about using social bookmarks specifically...

When I submit a site/article to del.icio.us for example...how can I best maximize the traffic "mileage" I could get with that link?

Just so you dont't think I am ignoring you I am going to wait till the questions pile up a bit and answer them. I just want to gain some insight into what you all need in an eBook on this subject.

Yeah, this is a further example of how you create your own products, get feedback from where you post. Watching for questions on what people do not know and asking, yeah actively asking for input, gets you content for your products.

Social Marketing Means BEING SOCIAL.

How do you manage all your data, friends, contacts, etc. ? I belong to numerous social networks and services. I have friends and contacts all over the internet, but I don't always have their email address. I do not know their interests when I am offline.

"I tried this and dumped it right away. It lacks most of the sites that return Google links to your site.
If you use social bookmarking sites incorrectly you can seriously damage your Google rankings."

What did you mean when you said this? What's lacking? Incorrectly?

I use a number of social sites that Google finds links to my site thru, most of them are not in this plugin. The more votes I have on these sites the more relevant Google finds my posts. There are a number of different things Google looks for that are not documented and only loose theories of mine. One thing for sure, sites like SMC, Facebook and and MySpace that are behind logins do you no good as far as backlinks. Many other social sites are hard to get good ratings from. Here is a clue, Digg lets you email all your friends to "Digg this." I even figured out how to email all 1001 of them, that's the most you can have BTW.

If you want to figure out some of what can hurt you Seth, look back to the Digg thread here. You can apply that to any open social bookmarking site. If you want the full lowdown, you know what to do, look on my profile and there is the link to find out what you need to know. You are smarter than the average bear and you should be able to put it together with the clues I have given you over the last three months here.

If you need a review I walk you back thru it one step at a time in my autoresponder.

It will take you more time to figure it out yourself and hurt you more by doing it incorrectly, cost you more money due to lost revenue than just buying the darn thing and going straight to the source.

I hate to come right out and tell you this but we know each other at least virtually so I can be honest with you here with out coming right out and linking to something and saying buy this. I have been pretty self-promotional here lately but have been trying to keep it under wraps a little. I guess that is out huh?

It seems that what started out as social bookmarking is turning more into social networking. I believe areas that should be adressed are how many social bookmarking sites a person needs to belong to. How you should represent yourself on those sites should be addressed. Which sites are the "find a date" sites and which are the sites for people who just need some help to become better at getting traffic and sales (unless you want to find the person of your dreams on the internet).

What if you are ugly? Should you still add your photo, or use the one from the picture that came with your picture frame that you purchased at Wal Mart?

I think the bottom line is that we all need more visitors, more income, and have less and less time to devote to just one more social site. So show us the tricks! Show us where to go where we do not waste our time. Plus for me personally show me how to get a working account at Sphinn where I do not get banned. (they really do not like me there)

How do you handle all the spam messages?

Should you pay to be a member of any of these sites?

Should you or should you not have a MySpace account?

How do you get friends fast? Do you accept everyone? Do you request from everyone?

Well that is just a few of the things I am covering in my book. No I am not writing one (yet), but who knows what the future holds. Ok...humor...really...I am funny (well I think I am and that is what matters).

And the PS about the subtle post...HUH? I think I missed a lot be being pretty new to this blog.

Man, I am having a hard time holding back, so much inspiration already. Don't worry I will respond to all your questions when the contest / thread is over.

I have no idea about any of this. I think social networking is meeting people online and developing a relationship with them with the ultimate goal of furthering our own businesses.

Assuming that that is correct, I have no clue as to how to go about it, what to say, who to talk to, and what I need to know about all of it.

Thank you,
Sandy Abrams

It has been suggested that this is a self promotional post, just trying to sell my eBook.

Tell me is there anywhere in any of my posts a link to buy my book?

Is there a link here to buy my book?

Is there a link in my profile to buy my book?

Have any of you received an email pitching my eBook?

Save your time, there is not.

You could not buy my book thru this site unless you tried real hard. You can't even buy the book if you go to my site. It is not publicly for sale. So how can this be self promotional????

This is called market research within a targeted market.

This is what you do when you have your own products, you find out what people don't know so you can add it to your infoproducts and sales letters.

This is what real internet marketers do. Since SMC has been dead lately with very little questions really about social marketing and I just happen to be one of the most skilled social marketers there are, I have had to come right out and ask for your questions.

How can asking what my SMC friends want to know and don't understand about social marketing bookmarking concepts in any way be construed an attempt to sell the book when you can't even buy it. Email me and I won't sell you a copy, I dare you.

I have spent the last six months here at SMC and have created some of the most interesting content and I am sure some of the real marketers here like Walt Goshert and Michael Lofton will agree. If you don't guys, common and call me out then.

Look at the Digg thread, that could have been an eBook in itself, instead I shared it all here and is the most successful post to date with 60, yeah 60 replies.

This is not a negative, abusive post. If I really said what I feel then it would be. I have over 2000 friends on 20 different networks. Try and find one link in any of them that links to a sales letter and a payment button.

This post is asking my SMC friends that I have come to know and know who Chris Lang is to help me provide better content to my buyers and do my job better.

Please tell me how this is self promotional when you can't go buy my book no matter how hard you try?
