Social Marketing Central

Social Marketing Central!

Put mu site on spicypes yesterday and aside from someone declaring undying love for me LOL, things have started to work out OK, 12 votes so far so I am not worried about that.

I have a small problem though and wonder if anyone else has experienced the same.

Spicypages have a new feature where you can import articles directly into your spicypage. Great i thought to myself, more backlinks.

Then I hit a problem.

I filled in the title of the post and description OK then pasted in the url of the post directly from my wordpress blog. I have the blog set up to display the post title in the url and address bar to increase SEO.

E.g http:// mysite /category/%20name-of-article

Spicypages would not accept the url because it appears that the subdirectory where the aricle resides is one level too deep as the warning box told me.

Spicypages wants the article url in this form

http::// mysite/name-of article.

Oh well, back to the drawing board...

Could it be cheated by using tiny URL?

I already have the url in the site I uploaded to spicypages.

What I want (and spicypages claim to do) is a direct link to the article. then the article appears in full on spicypages so people can read it from spicypages as if spicypages acts as a feed reader.

Hi John,
... observing your description of Spicypages (with me being generally ignorant of their service) I hit on the subdirectory mention and otherwise tied it into last nights chat, between Jack and Nathan. Where reference was given to Google and Wordpress optimization, by 'eliminating' any subdirectory deeper than one. Now, I realize that is is 'afar' - yet, maybe a listen in might be of relevance. http://www.seoclub.com/jack/
