Social Marketing Central!

I won't be upset if it is a site I didn't recommend at the Friday Traffic Report. You can report on anything that's done well for you recently.

Remember, when everyone shares, everyone learns about something new they can try in their social marketing campaigns!

Wikio and Scribd but it can be hard to get content to stick even if it's not a shameless affiliate promotion.

I like Stumbling.

It's so easy to use. You can link a site and make a comment in
less than a minute.

One overlooked by many is Facebook :D yeah, I said overlooked because I don't see too many people use it. Add Blog Friends application to your profile. It allows you to display your RSS feed right on your Facebook profile. Depends on how popular you are - you can get some traffic. I have definitely seen increase from that source since I started using it. Not much but my profile is not that old and my friends numbers are still growing ...

Add me as friend and I'll be happy to be your Blog Friend as well :)

My favorite social site is Gather. I post my regular ExploreLife Blog.com there most days and often get comments. It seems like a lively community. I also like StumbleUpon but I don't know if that would be considered a social site? There third site I am active at is Gaia (formerly Zaadz), I like this site because it is more socially progressive.

I want to build traffic to my site and to my website obviously to make them both more successful. I just joined this site and I want to learn all that I can give to others and all the benefits for being involved.

Peace and prosperity to you,

Joseph

The sites I mentioned in my previous post in this thread (Digg, Reddit, Propeller, etc. etc.) revolves around a new, great piece of software to help speed things along which I didn't want to promote, until I found out where it actually came from... so go get it now as a free bonus!

I've had success getting almost immediate page 1 Google rankings using Scribd. I did a short series on how to do this on my blog because although initially its the article at Scribd that gets listed a few days later so does the blog itself.

Not sure if I can use the link to my blog here for you to read the article explaining the method - so I won't until given the green light!

I've had good success with stumbleupon - one of my sites in the dog training niche often gets spikes of traffic from stumblers. Some days I receive one thousand or more visits from stumblers - I'm sure the traffic numbers I receive relates closely to how I am using my stumbleupon account (stumbling myself, rating other sites, discovering sites, commenting etc...)

Another good source of traffic for me has been squidoo. My lenses provide a steady stream of visitors and some decent links.

I'll report back if I can think of any more good sources of free traffic - I've just created my first hub at hubpages so hopefully I have some good results there.

I really like Digg, Reddit, Stumble and propeller. Those sites appear to be the easiest to use and they are widely used. The fact that they are widely used is quite important. You don't want to be posting to a site that doesn't get much buzz.
